Privacy Policy
Effective 21 July 2026 · Last updated: 21 July 2026
Telepov Inc. operates the Telepov mobile application and the website at telepov.app (together, the "Service") — a location-based marketplace for live video, where a viewer selects a place on a map and connects to a verified operator who is physically at that location and streams what is happening there in real time, charged by the minute. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights available to you. Please read it together with our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
1. Introduction
Telepov Inc. ("Telepov", "we", "us", "our") is a corporation incorporated in the State of Wyoming, United States, and operates the Service.
Telepov is a location-based marketplace for live video. A viewer selects a place on a map and connects to a verified operator who is physically at that location and streams what is happening there in real time, charged by the minute.
Telepov Inc. is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Our contact details are in Section 16.
2. Who this policy applies to
Viewers — people who use Telepov to watch live streams.
Operators — people who stream live from a location and receive payment for doing so.
Website visitors — people who visit telepov.app.
People who appear in a stream — individuals captured incidentally by an operator's camera in a public place. Section 7 explains our commitments to these individuals and how they can contact us.
Age requirement. The Service is intended solely for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 (see Section 13).
3. Summary of the data we collect
This is a summary; full detail is in Section 4.
Identity and contact — name, email address, phone number, date of birth or age confirmation — for account creation, authentication and safety.
Profile — display name, username, profile photo, biography, stream categories — to operate the marketplace.
Identity verification — government identification documents and verification results for operators — for age and identity checks, fraud prevention and payouts.
Location — precise location while streaming or searching, and approximate location such as city — for matching, geofence verification and distance filters.
Live stream content — video and audio transmitted during a session, and session metadata — to deliver the Service and for safety and moderation.
Messages — quick messages and in-app chat between viewers and operators — for communication, moderation and dispute resolution.
Financial — purchase and session history, operator earnings, balances and payout records — for billing, payouts, tax and accounting.
Technical — device identifiers, push tokens, IP address, app version, operating system — for security, notifications and fraud prevention.
Usage and diagnostics — interactions, searches, crash reports, performance and stream-quality data — for reliability, analytics and product improvement.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with data brokers, we do not display advertising in the Service, and we do not track you across other companies' apps and websites for advertising purposes.
4. Personal data we collect
Information you provide — Account information: your name, email address, phone number and confirmation that you are 18 or older; you may also set a username, profile photo and biography.
Operator verification: if you register as an operator you must complete identity verification before you can stream. This is carried out by our identity verification provider, Didit, and may include a government-issued identification document, a self-portrait image, your date of birth and your address. Where the process compares your image to your identification document or checks that you are physically present (liveness detection), this involves the processing of biometric data. Separately, our payments provider Stripe carries out its own verification checks before you can receive payouts.
Payment and payout information: purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Operator payouts are processed by Stripe through its own hosted onboarding, where you enter your bank or card details directly with Stripe. Telepov does not collect or store your full card or bank account numbers; we receive only transaction records, payout status and the balance and earnings shown in your account.
Communications: quick messages sent before connecting, in-app chat, and any correspondence with our support team.
Reports and appeals: information you submit when you report a stream, a user or content, or when you appeal a moderation decision.
Information collected automatically — Location data: for operators we collect precise location while you are online or streaming, to place you on the map and verify you are physically within the radius of the location a viewer selected; for viewers we collect location to centre the map, apply distance filters and show nearby availability. You can withdraw location permission at any time in your device settings, though the Service will not function without it for operators.
Device and technical data: device model, operating system, app version, language and region, IP address, push notification token and device identifiers used for security and fraud prevention. We do not use the Apple advertising identifier.
Usage data: sessions started and ended, session duration, connection attempts, follows, searches performed in the app, and other interactions with features.
Diagnostics: crash reports, performance data and live-stream quality metrics such as latency, bitrate and connection success rates.
Live stream content: when a session takes place, live video and audio are transmitted between the operator and the viewer through our streaming provider, together with session metadata such as time, duration, location and participants.
Recording and retention: where session recording is enabled, live sessions are recorded and stored for 60 days, after which recordings are automatically deleted. We record sessions to investigate reports and safety incidents, resolve payment and quality disputes, enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines, and comply with legal obligations. Access to recordings is restricted to a limited number of authorised personnel and is logged. Where a recording is the subject of a report, dispute, investigation or legal claim, we retain it beyond 60 days for as long as necessary. We do not publish recordings, use them for advertising or marketing, or use them to train third-party systems.
Information from third parties: identity and payment providers supply verification outcomes, payout status and fraud signals; Apple confirms in-app purchases and subscription status; other users may submit reports or ratings about you.
5. How we use personal data
We use personal data for the purposes below; where the GDPR or KVKK applies, the legal basis is shown in brackets.
Create and manage your account and authenticate you (performance of a contract).
Operate the marketplace — display availability, match viewers to operators, deliver live sessions (performance of a contract).
Verify that an operator is physically at the selected location (performance of a contract; legitimate interests in service integrity).
Verify identity and age; prevent fraud, duplicate accounts and abuse (legal obligation; legitimate interests in fraud prevention and safety).
Process payments, calculate earnings and make payouts (performance of a contract; legal obligation for tax and accounting).
Moderate content, investigate reports and enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines (legitimate interests in user safety and platform integrity; legal obligation).
Provide customer support and resolve disputes (performance of a contract; legitimate interests).
Maintain the security, reliability and performance of the Service (legitimate interests).
Understand how the Service is used and improve it (legitimate interests; consent where required).
Send service messages such as session receipts and payout confirmations (performance of a contract).
Send marketing communications about Telepov (consent, or legitimate interests where permitted). We only send promotional messages where permitted, and you can opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link, your notification settings, or by contacting us; opting out does not stop essential service messages.
Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests (legal obligation).
Automated decision-making: we use automated systems to detect fraud, verify location and flag potentially prohibited content, and these may restrict or suspend an account. You can ask for a human review of any decision that significantly affects you by contacting us.
6. Legal bases under Turkish law (KVKK)
For users in Turkey we process personal data under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK), relying on the grounds in Article 5 — including that processing is necessary for the performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, the establishment or exercise of a right, and our legitimate interests, provided your fundamental rights are not harmed. Where none of these grounds applies, we rely on your explicit consent.
Special categories of data: identity verification for operators may involve biometric data, which is a special category of personal data under Article 6 of the KVKK and Article 9 of the GDPR. We process it only to confirm your identity and age and to prevent fraud, and only on the basis of your explicit consent, which is requested separately at the point of verification. You may withdraw your consent at any time, although you will not be able to continue as an operator if you do. Biometric data is processed by our verification provider and is retained only as long as necessary to complete and evidence the verification.
7. Live streaming: specific privacy commitments
Live video from real places raises privacy considerations beyond a typical application. This section explains the safeguards we apply and the rights of people who appear in a stream.
Location verification: an operator must be physically within the radius of the selected location before a session can begin.
Public places only: Telepov may be used only in publicly accessible places. Streaming from private property, private residences and other non-public areas is prohibited by our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines unless the operator has the permission of the owner or occupier. We enforce this through operator obligations, in-app reporting, moderation and account sanctions, and we maintain a list of restricted locations from which streaming is blocked.
Requesting a restriction: if you are the owner, occupier or operator of a venue or property and you do not want it streamed, contact us (Section 16) and we will add it to our restricted list.
Contact masking: viewers and operators never see each other's phone number or email address; communication takes place through the Service.
One-to-one sessions: sessions are private between the viewer and the operator and are not broadcast publicly or published as a feed.
Moderation and reporting: any session can be reported from within the app; we operate moderation systems and may suspend or remove accounts that breach our rules.
Rules operators must follow: comply with all applicable laws on filming, recording and privacy where they stream; stream only from public places or from private places where they have the owner's or occupier's permission; stop filming and end a session at the request of anyone who objects to being filmed; avoid filming children, private residences, medical facilities, places of worship, security-sensitive sites and any location where filming is prohibited; and never stream sexual content, harassment, or content that targets or identifies a person without their agreement.
If you appear in a Telepov stream: if you believe you were captured in a stream and you object, contact us (Section 16) with the approximate time and place. We will investigate, take action against the operator where our rules were broken, and delete any related recording we hold where we are required or able to do so. You may also exercise the rights in Section 11.
8. How we share personal data
With other users: your display name, username, profile photo, biography, category, approximate location on the map and status are visible to other users; what you say and show during a live session is visible to the other participant. Your legal name, contact details, precise home location and payment information are never shown to other users.
With service providers (who act on our instructions and are bound by contract to protect it): Agora — live video and audio streaming infrastructure (stream content, session and connection metadata, technical data); Stripe — payments, operator onboarding, verification and payouts (identity, contact, financial and verification data); Didit — identity and age verification for operators (identification documents, image and biometric verification data, date of birth, address); Apple — in-app purchases and App Store services (purchase and transaction data); cloud hosting and storage providers — operating and securing the Service (all categories, as required); analytics, crash-reporting and messaging tools — reliability, product improvement and notifications (usage, diagnostics, identifiers).
For legal and safety reasons: we may disclose personal data where we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with a law, regulation or lawful request; to enforce our Terms; to detect or prevent fraud or security issues; or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or Telepov.
Corporate transactions: if Telepov is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will notify you and this policy will continue to apply until it is replaced.
9. International transfers
Telepov is established in the United States and our providers operate globally, so personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, which may not provide the same level of protection as your home country.
Where we transfer personal data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Where we transfer personal data from Turkey, we do so in accordance with Article 9 of the KVKK, relying on your explicit consent or on undertakings approved by the Turkish Data Protection Authority as applicable. You may request a copy of the safeguards we use by contacting us.
10. How long we keep personal data
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, and then delete or anonymise it.
Account and profile data — for the life of the account, then deleted or anonymised within a defined period after closure.
Identity verification records — as required by financial and anti-fraud rules.
Transaction, earnings and payout records — typically several years after the transaction, for tax, accounting and audit obligations.
Live stream recordings — 60 days, then automatically deleted; retained longer where subject to a report, dispute, investigation or legal claim, until the matter is resolved.
Messages — 12 months.
Biometric verification data — only as long as needed to complete and evidence verification.
Reports, moderation records and enforcement decisions — retained beyond account closure where needed to prevent repeat abuse and protect users.
Usage, diagnostics and technical logs — short retention, typically months.
11. Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom: you have the right to access your personal data; to have inaccurate data corrected; to have data erased; to restrict or object to processing, including processing based on legitimate interests; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
If you are in Turkey (Article 11 KVKK): you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed; to request information about the processing; to learn its purpose and whether the data is used accordingly; to know the third parties to whom data is transferred in Turkey or abroad; to request correction, deletion or destruction; to request that these actions are notified to third parties; to object to a result produced solely by automated analysis; and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing. You may apply to us (Section 16) and may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Board (KVKK Kurulu).
If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose and retain; to request deletion; to request correction; and to be free from discrimination for exercising your rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted.
How to exercise your rights: contact us (Section 16). We may need to verify your identity before we act, and we will respond within the period required by applicable law. Exercising your rights is free of charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive. You can delete your account at any time from within the app or by contacting us; some data is retained after closure where we are required to keep it, for example transaction records and moderation history.
12. Security
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption of data in transit, encrypted live streams, access controls limiting who can view personal data, logging and monitoring, and vendor due diligence. No service can be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affects your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
13. Age restriction
Telepov is rated 18+ and is intended only for adults. You must be at least 18 to create an account, and operators must complete identity verification that confirms their age before they can stream or receive payment. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a person under 18, we will delete the account and the associated data. If you believe a minor is using the Service, contact us immediately (Section 16).
14. Website and cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the site to function, together with analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used. Where required, we request your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can change your preferences at any time through the cookie settings on the website or your browser controls.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the Service or to legal requirements. We will update the date at the top of this document and, where the changes are material, notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
